Last week, the NutriBudget project was presented at the 23rd World Congress of Soil Science in Nanjing, China.
During the conference, Chantal Hendriks (Wageningen University & Research) showcased the MITERRA-Europe V2.0 model, which assesses soil carbon and nutrient budgets across agricultural systems in Europe (EU-27, UK and Switzerland) at regional level.
The model supports the evaluation of nutrient and carbon management strategies and their contribution to key sustainability objectives, including soil quality, greenhouse gas emissions, water quality, biodiversity, and crop production. It also enables assessments across multiple elements, including C, N, P, K, Mg, Ca, S, Cd, Zn, and Cu.
